■ OUR STORY
I’m li, a Magandjin-based DJ with a passion for creating inclusive, feel-good spaces through music. I founded wholesome dj because I wanted to make everyone feel part of the moment, no matter the event.
As a person of color, a woman, and someone who's neurodivergent, I spent years searching for spaces where I truly felt like I belonged - where the music reflected my experience and celebrated all the different parts of who I am.
Too often, I'd go to events where the playlist felt like it was made for one type of person, or where certain guests seemed like afterthoughts. I noticed friends from different cultural backgrounds standing on the sidelines, or older family members checking out early because nothing resonated with them. I saw how powerful it was when someone finally played that song that made everyone light up and rush to the dance floor together.
That's when I realiSed what was missing - DJs who truly understand that great celebrations happen when every single person feels seen, heard and celebrated.
Whatever the occasion, I’m here to make sure the music feels personal and connects with the crowd.
I’m all about playing open format, so you can expect a mix of anything — from house, techno, and electronic beats to indie rock, pop and those classic singalongs that everyone loves.
